Digital Library at schools can help effective usage of teaching staff?

Schools always face a shortage of good teaching staff to help the students do better. Teacher attrition rate is also moving up with a plenty of opportunities opened up for the teachers from the eLearning industry. It has become a challenge to the medium sized schools to manage with the limited teaching staff. It is important to keep the students always engaged in learning activities, sports or class.

An option is to have a curriculum multimedia digital library comprising of Animations, Videos and Diagrams and leave the students to use them during free time.

Teacher can prepare a lesson plan having the links to the objects in the library (Animations & Video) and project it in the AV room after the class.
AV Instructor or class monitor (could be a student) will show all the objects teacher has mapped to the lesson plan. Teacher presence may not be required and he/she can take up another classes.
Students are exposed to the audio visual contents for the same topics that the teacher has taught in the class room thus improving the retention level of the subject among the students.
School managements will be happy that they have provided effective teaching to the students with fewer teachers.

http://www.edurite.com/ has a vast curriculum multimedia digital library to best suit the schools. They also have the applications to easily integrate the library and MS Power point to help teacher create lesson plans with ease.
